April 17, 2015 DENVER -- The University of Denver women's tennis team (12-8, 6-0) defeated Oral Roberts, 7-0 Friday night at the Colorado Athletic Club on Monaco.
The Pioneers won all three doubles matches, only allowing the Golden Eagles to tally four games total between the three courts.
Denver looked to be firing on all cylinders in singles claiming wins on every court. Senior Michelle Garpenlov made her first singles appearance of the season and dropped Nika Munoz, 6-0, 6-0. Junior Evy Van Genechten would also earn a clean sweep on court four. Sophomore Sonja Radosevic earned a, 6-1, 6-0 victory over Petya Simeonova on court one.
The Pioneers will close out the regular season on Saturday with South Dakota. The match is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. MT at the Colorado Athletic Club on Monaco. Denver will celebrate Senior Day and recognize Michelle Garpenlov's accomplishments throughout her career.
