FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Denver women's tennis team (14-8, 7-0) defeated the No. 4 seed South Dakota Saturday afternoon at the Wildwood Country Club. The Pioneers will now face the No. 3 seed South Dakota State in The Summit League Championship match Sunday at 11:00 a.m. MT.

The Pioneers took a 1-0 lead by claiming the doubles point behind victories by sophomores Sonja Radosevic and Morgan Barnhill at No. 2 and sophomore Maureen Slattery and freshman Julia O'Loughlin at No. 1.

Slattery notched the initial singles victory with a, 6-1, 6-1 decision at No. 1 singles. O'Loughlin then put the Pioneers up 3-0 with a, 6-2, 6-0 triumph at No. 3. Junior Evy Van Genechten posted the clinching win, 6-2, 6-3 at No. 5 singles to wrap up the match.

The Pioneers have not surrendered a point in three Summit League tournament matches.
