Women's Tennis Faces Ole Miss in NCAA First Round

DENVER -- The University of Denver women's tennis team (15-8) will make their second straight appearance in the NCAA tournament under head coach Christian Thompson. The Pioneers will head to Coral Gables, Florida to face No. 23 Ole Miss at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center beginning at 9:00 a.m. MT.

The Pioneers are 0-1 all-time against the Rebels with the lone match coming in the first round of the 2009 NCAA Championships. Ole Miss won, 4-1.

The hosting Miami Hurricanes will face North Texas later Friday afternoon.

Scoring
Tournament matches will be regulation dual matches with three (3) eight-game, pro-set doubles played for one team point, followed by six (6) singles matches, each valued at one team point, played in best-of-three sets. Regular scoring will be used and a 12-point tiebreaker will be played at seven-games-all in doubles and at six-games-all in singles.
