Feb. 22, 2016 DENVER ââ'¬" For the second week in a row, the University of Denver women's gymnastics team is No. 13 in the latest Road to Nationals rankings, released on Monday. This is the first week that rankings are determined by Regional Qualifying Score (RQS).
RQS is determined by the six highest scores of the season-at least three of which must be from away meets. The highest score is dropped, and the remaining five scores are averaged.

This is the first time in 2016 that Denver is ranked inside the top 20 on all four events-after being ranked in the top 25 for the last two weeks. DU is No. 11 on floor (49.095), tied for No. 11 on bars (49.090), No. 14 on vault (49.010) and No. 20 on beam (48.840).
Senior Nina McGee (Cincinnati, Ohio) improved her all-around ranking to a career-best No. 2 with an RQS of 39.425. It is the highest that a DU gymnast has been ranked in the all-around in an RQS poll and matches the highest ranking during any point of the season-last set by Jessica Lopez in Week 4 of the 2009 season.
Additionally, McGee is tied for No. 4 on floor (9.925), tied for No. 11 on bars (9.880) and tied for No. 14 on vault (9.870).
Denver returns home on February 27 to host a quad meet against Iowa, SE Missouri and Illinois-Chicago. The meet is set for 6 p.m. in Hamilton Gymnasium.
