San Diego, Calif. - The 46th-ranked University of Denver men's tennis team fell to the University of Memphis 4-2 this morning on the last day of the San Diego Invitational. The Pioneers now hold a 10-6 overall record.
DU received singles victories from David Fox (Surrey, United Kingdom) and Alex Gasson (Alton, United Kingdom), while the match between Yannik James (St. Georges, Grenada) and Felix Rauch (MEM) went unfinished. Fox defeated Kai Lemke (MEM) 6-2, 6-3, while Gasson beat Chris Patzanovsky 6-4, 6-3.
Denver will travel to California again next weekend to take on California Polytechnic State University on Friday, March 25 at 12:00 p.m. MT followed by a match against UC Santa Barbara on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. MT.
