Manhattan, Kansas - The 58th-ranked University of Denver women's tennis team defeated Kansas State University 4-3 today at Mike Goss Tennis Stadium in Manhattan, Kan. The women improved to 10-2 overall on the season.

Denver went 3-3 in singles and 2-1 in doubles play to help earn their 10th win of the season.

Julia O'Loughlin (Highland Beach, Fla.), Maureen Slattery (Newport, Va.) and Bianca Mok (Boise, Idaho) each earned singles victories for the Pioneers.

The pairs of O'Loughlin/Slattery and Morgan Barnhill (Austin, Texas)/Mok won their doubles matches by scores of 6-1 and 6-2, respectively.

The team will be back in action on Sunday when they travel to Lawrence, Kan. to take on the 23rd-ranked University of Kansas at the Jayhawk Tennis Center. The match is set to begin at 12:00 p.m. MT.
