Tulsa, Okla. - The 39th-ranked University of Denver women's tennis team defeated the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles 7-0 today at Case Tennis Center in Tulsa. The Pioneers improved their overall record to 18-2 on the season.

DU went 3-0 in doubles play and a perfect 6-0 in singles matches.

Julia O'Loughlin (Highland Beach, Fla.), Maureen Slattery (Newport News, Va.), Bianca Mok (Boise, Idaho), Evy Van Genechten (Antwerp, Belgium), Morgan Barnhill (Austin, Texas)and Gracia Mboko (Burlington, Ontario) each picked up singles victories in today's match to help claim the victory for the Pioneers.

The pair of O'Loughlin and Slattery beat Jovana Antonijevic and Peta Simeonova (ORU) 6-3 in their doubles match, while the duo of Mok and Barnhill defeated Ceijenia Cornelius and Ximena Puentes (ORU) 6-0. Charlotte Derbyshire (Stockton, England) and Mboko beat Brenda Mercado Jove and Valentina Gisbert (ORU) 6-2 in their doubles match.

The team will travel to Vermillion, S.D. next weekend to take on the University of South Dakota on Saturday, April 23. The match is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. MT.
