The Lady Pioneers competed at the 2017 ITA Kick-Off Tournament this weekend, taking part in a regional draw that featured hosts Michigan in addition to Syracuse and Mississippi State. Denver went 1-1 at the event, falling to U-M on Saturday prior to capturing an impressive 4-0 win over SU on Sunday.

On Saturday, the No. 13-ranked doubles team of Julia O'Loughlin & Maureen Slattery upset Michigan's No. 4-ranked tandem of Fahey/Najarian by a score of 6-4 while the duo of Gracia Mboko & Sonja Radosevic also earned a win, downing Team Patiuk/Lommer by a score of 6-2. Four wins by the Wolverines in singles play have U-M the team victory however.

In Sunday's consolation showdown with Syracuse, Denver cruised to a 4-0 victory, winning all five of the teams' completed matches including three straight-set singles Ws. Full results from both matches can be found below:
