DENVER DEFEATS TEXAS 4-3 IN ROUND 1 OF BGNTC

The Denver Women's Tennis Team battled to a hard-fought win over the Texas Longhorns this morning at the O'Connor Tennis Center in the first round of the prestigious Blue-Gray National Tennis Classic.

Coming down the last match with the team score tied at 3-3, Senior co-captain Maureen Slattery prevailed in thrilling fashion in straight sets 7-5, 6-3. Along with Slattery, the Pioneers were led by fellow seniors, Sonja Radosevic (co-captain) and Morgan Barnhill, representing a win in singles and doubles, respectively.

Next up is the semifinal matchup versus Auburn, who defeated Tulane this morning in their respective first round.
