Feb. 25, 2017 The DU women's tennis team competed at a highly-prestigious invitational tournament this weekend, going 1-2 against some tremendous competition at the 69th Annual Blue Gray National Tennis Classic in Montgomery, Alabama.
On Friday, Denver earned a thrilling 4-3 victory over Texas to advance to Round 2 of the tournament and a matchup with Auburn. After dropping the doubles point to the Tigers on Friday night, play resumed on Saturday morning with Auburn completing the victory by a final score of 4-0. Denver then faced Alabama in an afternoon consolation match, with the Crimson Tide besting the Pioneers by a 4-0 final. Full results from the 2017 Blue Gray National Tennis Classic can be found HERE.
