March 4, 2017 The DU women's tennis team improved to 7-3 on the season on Saturday, defeating the Oregon Ducks by a score of 4-2 in Boise, Idaho. Denver also earned a win on Friday over BSU to amass a 2-0 record for the weekend and make its road trip to the Gem State a successful one.
After the No. 11-ranked doubles team of Maureen Slattery & Julia O'Loughlin captured a 6-1 victory in their singles match vs. Team Tobita/Sangwan on Saturday, the Ducks won the remaining doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead. Denver then turned in a stellar performance in singles play, dropping only one decision with four Pioneers capturing straight-set victories.
