INTO THE RECORD BOOKS
The 2017 Pioneers continue to achieve some of the top marks in program history, beginning by setting record for highest Regional Qualifying Score (RQS), now at 196.910. It tops the previous record of 196.875 set in 2004.

Last weekend, Denver scored its second 197.150 of the season, which ties the sixth-highest team total in program history. DU also posted the program's eighth-best score (197.125) on February 11 when Denver hosted Boise State. During that same meet, the Pioneers tied the school record with a 49.400 on bars.

DU averaged 3,045 fans in its five home meets this year, shattering the record for highest average home meet attendance-previously at 1,911 in 2011. Denver hosted two meets in Magness Arena, welcoming more than 4,000 fans in each meet, which became the most-attended single meets in program history.

BIG 12 HONOR FOR LOMONTE
Senior Leah Lomonte (Katy, Texas) was named the Big 12 Event Specialist of the Week following her career-high 9.900 on bars last weekend. She finished second overall in the meet, which was the final home meet of her career.

It is Lomonte's second career weekly conference award after earning Specialist of the Week as a sophomore. DU now has four weekly honors from the Big 12 Conference this year: two for freshman Maddie Karr (Stillwater, Minn.) and one for freshman Sam Ogden (Allen, Texas).

FAMILIAR FOE
This will be the third meeting this season between Denver and Boise State. The teams first met at a neutral site at Utah on January 20 where DU topped BSU 196.875-196.225. Their second meeting was on February 11 in Denver where DU edged Boise State by .050 to win 197.125-197.075.

Recent meetings between Denver and Boise State have been highly competitive, including that February 11 competition. At the 2014 Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference Championship, Denver won by the smallest of margins-just .025-with a final score of 196.925-196.900.

DU and Boise State spent three seasons in the same conference, starting in 2013 as members of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC). Both teams were members of the MRGC in 2014 and 2015 before DU became an affiliate member of the Big 12 Conference last year. Boise State remains in the MRGC.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR
Vault: Karr now owns eight vault titles this year-including a streak of wins in six consecutive meets. Junior Nikole Addison (Fort Myers, Fla.) finished second last weekend with a 9.850 while seniors Rachel Fielitz (Walden, N.Y.) and Julia Ross (Henderson, Nev.) tied for third with 9.825s. Sophomore Kaitlyn Schou (Orlando, Fla.) has competed in the vault line-up in every meet this year as well.

Bars: Sophomore Diana Chesnok (Charlotte, N.C.) won the bars title in DU's last two meets, each with a score of 9.925. Lomonte finished second overall with a personal-best 9.900. Sophomore Claire Kern (Charlotte, N.C.), Karr and Ross rounded out Denver's counted scores, all three with marks above 9.800.

Beam: Ross won her second-straight beam title last weekend with a 9.900-her fourth score of 9.900 or higher on the event this season. Karr and Schou completed DU's podium sweep on Saturday with 9.875s while freshman Courtney Loper (West Des Moines, Iowa) and Addison added scores of at least 9.800.

Floor: Addison won her sixth floor title last weekend and continues to lead the Pioneers on the event. Karr has the team's second-highest floor RQS this year, followed by Schou. Ross earned a career-high 9.875 last time out. For the first time this season, DU fielded a full floor line-up when Kern made her collegiate debut on the event.

EYE ON THE RANKINGS
DU's program-record RQS of 196.910 ranks them No. 8 in the nation this week. The team is ranked inside the top 12 on all four events, including No. 8 on bars (49.270), which is the highest DU has ever been ranked by RQS on the event. Denver is also No. 9 on beam (49.250), tied for No. 9 on vault (49.205) and No. 12 on floor (49.220).

Karr and Ross are ranked back-to-back in the all-around with Karr at No. 10 (39.450) and Ross at No. 11 (39.410). Karr is No. 7 on vault (9.915), tied for No. 22 on floor (9.895) and tied for No. 25 on beam (9.890). Ross is tied for No. 19 on beam (9.895).

Addison holds a tie for No. 16 on floor (9.905) while Ogden is tied for No. 19 on bars (9.885).

LAST TIME OUT
Denver wrapped up its home meet schedule on Saturday, tying its season high with a 197.150-195.475 win over Ohio State. The Pioneers posted a new season best on floor (49.400) and tied the sixth-highest bars score in program history (49.325), as well as the seventh-highest beam score (49.300).

For the second time this year, Karr and Ross finished 1-2 in the all-around. Karr also won the vault title while Ross took home the beam title. Chesnok won the bars title with a career-tying 9.925, and Addison completed the title sweep for DU with a win on floor.

ABOUT BOISE STATE
Boise State topped Utah State 196.700-195.675 at home in the Broncos' last meet on March 2. Shani Remme won the all-around title while also taking home wins on bars and beam. Mary Frances Bir won on vault, and Ann Stockwell and Sandra Collantes tied for the floor title.

BSU is currently ranked No. 10 overall in the nation, No. 7 on bars, No. 14 on beam, tied for No. 15 on vault and No. 22 on floor. Remme is tied for No. 23 in the all-around and tied for No. 19 on beam. Diana Mejia is also tied with DU's Ogden for No. 19 on bars.

THE MATCH-UP
Denver holds a 20-12-1 all-time record against Boise State, which includes wins in the teams' first two meetings in 2017. DU topped BSU on January 20 at Utah (196.875-196.225) and again in Denver on February 11 (197.125-197.075).

DU's last trip to Boise State was on January 17, 2014, where BSU won 195.150-194.825.
