PIONEERS WIN SIXTH STRAIGHT MATCH, DOWN UTES 6-1

The No. 45-ranked DU women's tennis team extended its winning streak to six matches on Tuesday, defeating the Utah Utes by a score of 6-1 at CAC-Monaco. Denver is now 14-6 on the season.

Denver took the doubles point on Tuesday thanks to victories by No. 14-ranked Team Slattery/O'Loughlin and Team Mboko/Radosevic, both by scores of 6-4. The hosts then proceeded to take five of the six singles matches that were staged, with Maureen Slattery securing the team win for DU by defeating Brianna Turlley 7-6, 6-1 to give the Pios their fourth point of the day. Up next for the Crimson & Gold is a Friday afternoon showdown with Oral Roberts (3pm, CAC-Monaco). Denver's final home match of the season, all three of the team's graduating student-athletes (Slattery, Sonja Radosevic & Morgan Barnhill) will be honored prior to the commencement of doubles play.
