Steven Reinprecht began his playing career as a center at the University of Wisconsin where he tallied 162 points (72-90-162) in 154 games. During the 1999-2000 season, Reinprecht was recognized as Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) Player of the Year as well as American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) First-Team All-American
-Following his collegiate career, Reinprecht played 11 years in the NHL (winning a Stanley Cup with the Colorado Avalanche in 2001) and part of seven in the DEL, the top German professional league
