The University of Denver Pioneers (8-4, 0-0) defeated the Wyoming Cowgirls, 6-1, on Friday at the University of Wyoming Tennis Courts in Laramie, Wyo.
The Pioneers opened the day with the doubles point with victories from Bianca Mok and Hada Chang at No. 2 and Arisha Ladhani and Camille Verden-Anderson at No. 3.
On the singles courts, Mok recorded the Pioneers first victory with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 2, then Hada Chang followed suit with a 6-2, 7-5 win at No. 3 to move her singles winning streak to seven matches and her overall singles record to 9-2. Verden-Anderson’s 7-6, 7-5 win at No. 4 singles secured the match victory for the Pioneers and wins from Ladhani at No. 5 and Anna Riedmiller at No. 6 capped the day.
The Pioneers return to Denver for their final home match of the regular season on Sunday, March 11. The match is set for 1 p.m. at Colorado Athletic Club - Monaco.
