Denver Picked to Win 2018 Summit League Title

Pioneers received six of eight possible first place votes

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The University of Denver women's soccer team will begin the 2018 Summit League schedule on September 28 as preseason favorites, the league office announced on Monday in a vote of the conference's nine head coaches.

The Summit League's head coaches also selected a group of Players to Watch ahead of the 2018 campaign. Junior attacking midfielder Hannah Adler (Oak Park, Calif.) and sophomore midfielder Meg Halvorson (Englewood, Colo.) were named to the 14-player list.
 
The 2018 campaign marks the fifth time in the Pioneers six seasons in the league that Denver has been selected as preseason favorites.

UP NEXT: Denver will open its 2018 regular season and Colorado Cup on Thursday when the Pioneers welcome Colorado State to the University of Denver Soccer Stadium. Kickoff for the season opener is set for 7 p.m. MT, and will be broadcast live on Altitude 2.
