[15] Pioneers Open BIG EAST Play at Home Against ODU

DENVER – The No. 15 University of Denver women's lacrosse team will open 2019 BIG EAST competition at home on Saturday, March 30 at 2:30 p.m. against Old Dominion. The Pioneers are coming off a win over northern rivals Colorado on March 26, going 8-2 on the year, while the Lions hold a 3-9 mark this season.
 
The Pioneers sit at No. 1 in the BIG EAST standings, averaging a conference-high .800 win percentage on the year. Denver also checks into the top-10 in five NCAA categories; No. 2 for assists per game (9.1), No. 2 for scoring defense (6.6), No. 4 for scoring margin (7.4), No. 8 for points per game (23.1) and No. 10 in win percentage. Quintin Hoch-Bullen continues to lead the team with 28 goals and 58 shots this season, while Hannah Liddy leads with 23 assists and Eliza Radochonski has totaled 41 points.
 
Old Dominion comes to the Mile High City after a 14-8 loss at Liberty on Friday, March 22. The Lions average 8.33 goals on 22.8 shots per game, ranking No. 6 in the BIG EAST standings. Glory Johnson leads the lion pack with 36 goals and 40 points on the year, while Haleigh Wurzel has tabbed 25 groundballs and Alyssa Sebesto has caused 22 turnovers.
 
After Saturday's game, the Pioneers will take a week off before traveling to Georgetown on April 6, facing the Hoyas at 10 a.m. MT.
