DENVER - The No. 47 Denver Pioneers women's tennis team (14-5, 4-0) is set to close its regular season with a Summit League match and Senior Day against South Dakota on Friday, April 19 at the Denver Tennis Park.
Denver has won six of its last eight matches. The Pioneers swept Western Illinois in their only match last weekend, taking at least share of the Summit League regular season title. Denver will have the opportunity to win the title outright for the sixth straight year with a victory against the Coyotes on Friday.
No. 109
Bianca Mok has paced the Pioneers this season with a 13-2 (4-0) singles record, playing every match at No. 1 and winning each of her last eight matches. Â
Camille Verden-Anderson has been equally as hot with a 17-2 mark on the No. 4, 5 and 6 courts. Together, Mok/Verden-Anderson lead Denver on the doubles court where their 12-4 mark is the best on the team.
First serve is set for 1 p.m. MT. Senior co-captains
Arisha Ladhani and
Bianca Mok, as well as junior
Hannah Templeton, will be honored during a brief ceremony after the match.Â
