DENVER – The No. 42 University of Denver women's tennis team travels to Arizona for matchups against the University of Arizona and Arizona State University.
The Pioneers (13-3, 3-0) are currently on a five-match winning streak that dates back to March 2. During the stretch, the Pios have wins over two Power 5 opponents (Minnesota & Utah) and three Summit League sweeps over Oral Roberts, Omaha and North Dakota. DU will take on two additional Power 5 teams in Arizona and Arizona State this weekend prior to the final stretch of the regular season. Denver is led by senior co-captain
Bianca Mok who is 11-2 in singles play and ranked 99
th in the nation. Fellow senior and co-captain
Arisha Ladhani is 9-4 this season and has won four-straight singles matches dating back to Denver's match against Minnesota. Sophomores
Hada Chang and
Anna Riedmiller have also been solid for the Pios, combining to go 6-0 in Denver's previous five matches. In doubles play Mok and Verden-Anderson are riding a five match winning streak at the No. 1 position, while dropping just nine sets.
