Ballard Takes 18th, Randolph 24th in 66-Woman Field

The Pioneers completed their opening weekend of competition on Sunday

CLERMONT, Fla. – The University of Denver women's triathlon program completed its opening weekend of competition on Sunday with the second day of the 2021 Clermont Challenge. Sunday's race was an Elite Development Race with 66 women participating.
 
Amanda Ballard finished 18th, clocking in at 1:08:37 with splits of 9:47 (swim), 34:45 (bike) and 21:42 (run). Luma Randolph took 24th in 1:09:14, in times of 11:00, 33:08 and 22:41.

Grace Arlandson was a planned DNF on Sunday. She did complete the first two segments of the race, timing at a team-best 9:45 in the swimming portion and 32:58 on the bike. 
 
The swimming course was shortened due to white caps.
