DENVER – The University of Denver women's tennis team will begin the two-day ITA Kickoff Weekend on the campus of UCLA with a match-up against Washington on Friday at 11 a.m. MT. The winner/loser of Denver's Friday match will take on the winner/loser of [4] UCLA and Cal Poly.
Last Time Out:
Following a Summit League Tournament victory at the Denver Tennis Park, the Pioneers dropped their NCAA First Round match at Texas.
Series History:
Denver and Washington have split the first two meetings in the series. Denver took the 2007 match-up by a count of 4-3 in Salt Lake City. The Huskies defeated the Pioneers 5-2 in February of 2018.
Up Next:
Denver will make its debut at the Denver Tennis Park this season when the Pioneers host Wisconsin next Friday at 12 p.m. MT. The Pioneers wrap-up the two-match homestand next Sunday at 10 a.m. MT against Oregon.
