LAS VEGAS – University of Denver women's tennis team fifth-year student Taylor Melville won the Main Draw singles final at the ITA Regional Championships, hosted by UNLV, on Sunday.
 
She will now advance to the 2022 ITA National Fall Championships on November 2-6 in San Diego, California.
 
The No. 6 seed Melville defeated No. 1 seed Molly Helgesson from UNLV in straights sets, 6-3 6-4. En route to her title, she dropped just one set.
 
It is the third straight tournament win for Melville this fall after she won the at the Bedford Cup, hosted by the Air Force Academy, and at the Jon Messick Invitational, hosted by Colorado State University.
 
Next up for the Pioneers will be DU's own Colorado Cup, hosted at Denver Tennis Park on November 4-6, 2022. Joining Denver will be Air Force, Colorado and Colorado State.
