FORT COLLINS , Colorado – The University of Denver women's tennis team brought home two singles titles and the doubles title during the final day of the Jon Messick Invite, hosted by Colorado State University.
 
Fifth-year student-athlete Taylor Melville won her second top-bracket singles title to begin Denver's fall season, topping teammate sophomore Andrea Burguete Beltran 6-2 6-3 in Sunday's final.
 
Burguete Beltran still captured a victory on Sunday, teaming up with freshman Claudia Martinez de Velasco in doubles and winning the all-DU Flight A final 7-5 over the team of Melville and senior Britt Pursell.
 
Martinez de Velasco's second win of the day came in the Flight C singles final, outlasting fellow freshman Louise Wikander 7-5 2-6 10-7.
 
Freshmen Caroline Driscoll and Anastasia Simonov played in the doubles Flight B final as well, but fell to Colorado State's Ky Ecton and Sarah Weekley.
 
Driscoll finished third overall in singles in Flight B with a 7-5 6-3 win over Weber State's Megan Lombardi.
 
DU continues its fall schedule at the ITA Regional Championships in Las Vegas on October 12-16.
