No. 9 Denver Welcomes Fairfield to Peter Barton Tuesday at 1 p.m. MT

DENVER – The No. 9 DU women's lacrosse team will take on Fairfield at home in a midweek matchup on Tuesday at 1 p.m. MT. Denver is ranked in the top 10 of the Inside Lacrosse national poll for the first time since March, 2020 following a comeback win at then-No. 8 Michigan on Sunday.

The Pioneers found themselves down five goals during the second quarter in Ann Arbor on Sunday but were able to erase the deficit and hold Michigan scoreless in the final period to bring home the win. Junior Julia Gilbert scored the game-winning goal for the Pios with 4:05 left in the fourth. Denver's offense was helped by two goals each from Lauren Black, Bea Behrins and Ellie Curry. On the defensive end of the field, goalkeeper Emelia Bohi made seven saves with four of them coming in the second half.

Fairfield played at Lafayette in Easton, Pa. last Wednesday, taking home the 20-12 win. The Stags have found success on the road this season, posting a 3-1 record so far compared to a 1-1 effort at home.
