DENVER – The [51] University of Denver women's tennis team will close out a five-match homestand this weekend when the Pioneers host a trio of opponents at the Denver Tennis Park. Denver welcomes Weber State (Friday/1 p.m. MT), St. Thomas (Saturday/1:30 p.m. MT) and Air Force (Sunday/4 p.m. MT).
Last Time Out:
Coming off a Friday afternoon home win over Iowa, Denver opened Summit League play with a 7-0 victory over Omaha on Saturday afternoon. The Pioneers earned wins on courts one and three in doubles play before winning all six singles matches.
Series History:
Denver vs. Weber State: First Meeting
Denver vs. St. Thomas: First Meeting
Denver vs. Air Force: Denver leads 10-2
The Pioneers have won each of the last nine meetings, and have scored at least five of the seven points in each of the last eight encounters. Denver hasn't lost since a 4-3 loss in Colorado Springs in 2001. Prior to the only previous meeting at the Denver Tennis Park in January of 2020, the two programs had not met since 2012.
