COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – The University of Denver women's tennis player and fifth-year student
Taylor Melville defeated Colorado State's Radka Buzkova in straight sets to win the Bedford Cup singles title on Sunday.
Melville used to late breaks in both sets to post a 7-5 7-5 win in the tournament's top bracket.
After teams shuffled around players in select consolation matches, Denver added singles wins from senior
Britt Pursell in the Alpha Draw, freshman
Caroline Driscoll in the Bravo Draw and freshman
Claudia Martinez de Velasco in the Charlie Draw.
