SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Denver women's tennis team's doubles duo of graduate student Britt Pursell and junior Andrea Burguete Beltran advanced to the doubles semifinal at the 2023 ITA Mountain Regional Championships, hosted by the University of Utah.
 
The No. 7-seeded team from DU used captured matching 8-6 victories in the round of 16 and quarterfinals on Friday. Denver also saw its team of sophomores Caroline Driscoll and Anastasia Simonov win in the round of 16, but the team fell to the No. 4 seed in the quarterfinals.
 
Pursell and Beltran both appeared in the singles quarterfinals on Friday as well but dropped their matches in three sets.
 
The 2023 ITA Mountain Regional Championships continues on Saturday with the doubles and singles semifinals, beginning at 9 a.m. MT.
