Box Score SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Denver women's tennis team's
Britt Pursell and
Andrea Burguete Beltran captured the doubles title at the 2023 ITA Mountain Regional Championships, hosted by the University of Utah.
No. 7-seeded Pursell/Beltran defeated the No. 4-seeded team from UNLV in Saturday's semifinal, losing just four games across the two-set match.
Pursell and Beltran were slated to play the No. 1 seed from BYU in Sunday's final but received a walkover, giving the Denver team the championship.
In winning the title, Pursell/Beltran have secured a spot at the 2023 ITA National Fall Championships in the doubles field. The tournament will be held November 1-5, in San Diego, California.
