WHAT: Summit League semifinal match
WHERE: University of Denver Soccer Stadium (Denver, Colorado)

LAST TIME OUT:
Denver finished the regular season with a 3-3 draw at North Dakota on October 22. Freshman Liv Moritz and graduate student Kaitlyn Glover each netted their seventh goal of the season while DU's third goal was credited as a UND own goal. North Dakota's Amelia Loeffler was the lone goal scorer for the Fighting Hawks and scored a 90th-minute equalizer off a corner kick to complete her hat trick.

QUICK HITS:
  • Denver clinched the Summit League regular-season title outright for the fifth season in a row. DU has now won the regular-season crown eight times and owns 14 conference regular-season titles since becoming a Division I program in 1998.
  • DU led the Summit League in All-League honorees with nine including a tie for the most earning first-team nods with three: Glover and seniors Jordan Crockett and Vanessa Murray.
  • Moritz was named the Summit League Newcomer of the Year, the fifth Pioneer to win the award and the first since Sami Feller in 2018.
  • Glover played in her 92nd career match at UND, now the third most in DU's Division I program history.
  • DU is seeking its eighth appearance in the Summit League final and its first since 2021. In 2022's Summit League semifinal, Denver and Oral Roberts played to a scoreless draw after double OT, but ORU advanced in a penalty shootout, 3-2.
SCOUTING THE MAVERICKS:
This will be the 15th all-time meeting between Denver and Omaha after the teams met in a 0-0 draw at UNO on October 1. The teams last played in Denver on October 8, 2022, in a 2-0 win for DU and have met two previous times in the Summit League tournament, both in finals and both Denver wins. Their last tournament meeting was a 3-0 Denver win in the 2020 final (played on April 17, 2021).

The No. 4-seeded Mavericks defeated the No. 5 seed South Dakota, 2-0, in the Summit League quarterfinal on Friday at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium. Emilie Erland scored the eventual game winner in the 83rd minute while Sophia Green added a second goal less than four minutes later.
