Box Score DENVER – The University of Denver women's tennis team concluded the 2023 Colorado Cup with another undefeated day, this time against Air Force at Denver Tennis Park on Sunday.
As was the case against Weber State on Friday, DU went a perfect 12-0 on Sunday to finish with a 24-0 record in singles and doubles combined on the weekend.
Sophomore
Caroline Driscoll secured Denver's sweep in a comeback singles win, dropping the first set before using matching 6-3 sets to close it out. Four Pioneers dropped three or fewer games in their victories: freshman
Karsyn Evans and sophomores
Claudia Martinez de Velasco,
Alice Otis and
Louise Wikander. Fellow sophomore
Anastasia Simonov added a fifth straight-sets win for DU in singles.
Denver now awaits the start of the dual season in January. The team's 2024 schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.
