DENVER – The No. 39-ranked University of Denver women's tennis team hosts Wyoming for a Wednesday afternoon match on March 1 at Denver Tennis Park. The match is set to start 12 p.m. MT.
The match is the third of five-straight home matches for DU.
Last Time Out:
Denver swept a shorthanded Montana State at home on February 24, claiming wins in all eight matches that were played plus a default in No. 6 singles. DU claimed the doubles point with scores of 6-1 across all three courts before adding straight-sets wins in the five contested singles matches. In No. 1 singles No. 89-ranked
Taylor Melville dropped just three games after earning a bagel in the first set. Freshman
Louise Wikander was moved to No. 2 singles at the last minute, winning with matching 6-2 scores.
Series History:
Denver is 12-2 all-time against Wyoming including wins in the last five meetings. The teams' most recent meeting was a 7-0 sweep for DU in Denver on March 11, 2020. In total, DU has a 6-1 record against UW at home with wins in the six most recent matches in Denver.
