DENVER – The No. 41-ranked University of Denver women's tennis team (11-2) will play three matches in five days on the road.
DU first travels to the state of Texas for two matches against fellow nationally-ranked teams, beginning with No. 59 Baylor on Tuesday, March 21, at 6 p.m. CT/5 p.m. MT. Denver then visits No. 62 SMU on Thursday, March 23, at 1 p.m. CT/12 p.m. MT.
Denver continues on the road with its third Summit League match of the season when it takes on Western Illinois on Saturday, March 25, at 12 p.m. CT/11 a.m. MT.
Last Time Out:
Denver is coming off a bye week after last playing two matches in the Boston area, winning 4-3 over both Harvard and Boston on March 11-12.
Series History:
Baylor: DU and BU have only met once previously, a 5-2 win for Baylor in Denver on February 11, 2022. This is the first time Denver will travel to Baylor.
SMU: Denver and SMU have met twice, each team taking a win. Their most recent meeting was March 24, 2022, in a neutral-site match at Texas Tech that SMU won 5-2. Denver won their first meeting 4-3 at SMU on March 6, 2004.
Western Illinois: Denver is 7-0 all-time against Western Illinois and has never dropped a point in those meetings. WIU traveled to Denver for their most recent match, a 7-0 sweep for DU on April 2, 2022. Denver last made the trip to Western Illinois on April 13, 2019, also a 7-0 win for DU.
