DENVER – The University of Denver women's soccer team is set for its two exhibition matches ahead of the start of the 2023 season. DU will first host LSU on Tuesday, August 8, at 7 p.m., before welcoming Texas Tech on Friday, August 11, at 2 p.m.
Attendance is free for all fans for both exhibition matches.

- Denver is coming off winning its fifth-straight Summit League regular-season title in 2022 and will seek its fifth Summit League Tournament championship in 2023.
- Last season, DU finished with an 11-4-4- record including 8-0-1 in Summit League play.
- DU returns 24 student-athletes from its 2022 roster including goal-leader Camryn MacMillan – back for her sixth year of eligibility – and points-leader Kaitlyn Glover. Summit League Honorable Mention Hannah Gallegos is also back for a fifth season.
- Sydney Sharp, who missed the 2022 season with an injury, is back in 2023 after leading Denver with 16 goals during the 2021 season.
- DU welcomes eight newcomers to its 2023 roster.
LSU Series History
- This will be the first meeting – preseason, regular-season or postseason – between Denver and LSU.
Texas Tech Series History
- This will be the ninth preseason exhibition meeting between Denver and Texas Tech and the second straight after DU hosted TTU in a 1-1 draw at University of Denver Soccer Stadium on August 12, 2022.
- DU and TTU played in seven consecutive preseasons from 2013-19.
- The teams have twice met during the regular season but not since 2001 when the Red Raiders won, 4-0, in Lubbock, Texas.
