Box Score SEATTLE – The University of Denver women's tennis team won eight of its nine total matches on the second day of the Husky Invitational, hosted by the University of Washington, on Saturday.
DU mixed up its doubles teams for the day and went two-of-three with its only loss coming in a tiebreak. Junior
Hana Bečirovič Novak and freshman
Natálie Cinková earned a 6-4 win while Denver's other two teams went to breakers with juniors
Marley Lambert and
Claudia Martinez de Velasco capturing a win.
Of the four Denver singles matches to be played to completion, three ended with DU victories. Junior
Louise Wikander won in straight sets, and Bečirovič Novak battled to a win in three sets. Lambert won in a 10-point tiebreak after splitting the first two sets.

Next up for Denver is the 2024 ITA Mountain Regional Championships, set to be hosted by New Mexico State on October 17-22 where berths to the NCAA singles and doubles championships are on the line.
