DENVER – Three University of Denver women's soccer players earned places on the 2024 Academic All-Summit League Team, the league announced on Tuesday.
Seniors
Riley Baker and
Ella Frost, and sophomore
Liv Moritz collected academic recognition for the 2024 season, giving Denver a league-leading three honorees.
Baker recently completed her first quarter as a graduate student after finishing her bachelor's degree in business analytics in June 2024 with a cumulative GPA of 3.88. For the second time in her career, she landed All-Summit League first-team honors after finishing the season with two goals and three assists while starting in all 19 matches for Denver.
Frost is pursuing a bachelor's degree in psychology/sociology and holds a 3.98 cumulative GPA. The 2024 Summit League Midfielder of the Year finished near the top of the league leaderboard for goals (7), game winners (4) and points (16). She added All-Summit League first-team recognition while extending her streak of playing in every match of her four-year collegiate career.
Moritz is a two-sport athlete – also a member of Denver's alpine ski team – and holds a 4.00 GPA, though she has not yet declared a major. Her five goals scored in 2024 were second-most on DU's roster, behind only Frost, and she finished with 11 total points on the season. She logged minutes in all 19 matches for DU including making 18 starts.
Frost is now a two-time Academic All-Summit League Team member, earning honors in the last two seasons. Baker and Moritz are first-time honorees.
To be eligible for the Academic All-Summit League Team, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's scheduled matches. Freshmen and first-year transfer students are not eligible. The top 11 vote getters – plus ties – are named to the team.
