DENVER – The No. 37-ranked University of Denver women's tennis team (7-4, 0-0 Summit) will begin Summit League play with its first of two matches in the state of Minnesota on March 2-3.
DU will play its first Summit League foe of the season at St. Thomas on Saturday, March 2, before taking on its eighth Power-5 opponent on the season at Minnesota on Sunday, March 3.
Last Time Out:
Denver traveled to Texas for two duals against fellow nationally-ranked teams on February 23-24. DU opened the weekend with a tight 4-2 loss at then-No. 40 Baylor before dropping a 4-0 match at then-No. 37 SMU the following day.
Series History:
St. Thomas: This will be just the third meeting between DU and St. Thomas, and their first at UST. DU won both of the previous meetings with 7-0 sweeps, both held in Denver and the most recent on March 5, 2023.
Minnesota: Denver will look to even the all-time record against Minnesota with the Gopher currently holding a narrow 3-2 lead. The teams last met on March 2, 2019, in a neutral-site match in Houston where DU won, 6-1. The last time the teams played at Minnesota was February 18, 2007, a 6-1 win for UM.
