No. 47 DU Women’s Tennis Heads to Charlotte for Two Matches

Denver plays at No. 52 Charlotte on Friday, then against Wichita State on Saturday

DENVER – The No. 47-ranked University of Denver women's tennis team (11-4, 3-0 Summit) travels to the East Coast for two road matches in Charlotte, North Carolina, on March 15-16.
 
DU first plays at No. 52 Charlotte on Friday, March 15, at 12 p.m. ET/10 a.m. MT before taking on Wichita State in a neutral-site match on Saturday, March 16, at 3 p.m. ET/1 p.m. MT.
 
Last Time Out:
Denver added two more Summit League wins with matching 6-1 victories against South Dakota at home on March 8 before topping Omaha on the road on March 9. Junior Andrea Burguete Beltran helped lead the way for Denver, winning all four of her combined matches at No. 1 singles and doubles, and was awarded Summit League Peak Performer of the Week for the third time this year.
 
Series History:
Charlotte: This will be the first meeting between Denver and Charlotte.
 
Wichita State: DU and WSU will meet for the 10th time with the Shockers holding a 6-3 record against Denver. The teams have not played since two meetings in 2015, both WSU wins at neutral sites on January 25 and February 28. DU's most recent win over WSU came on February 3, 2013, at Wichita State (4-3).

The University of Denver women's tennis team has a bye week before hosting its penultimate match at Denver Tennis Park this season, welcoming North Dakota on Saturday, March 30.
