DENVER - The No. 12 Denver Pioneers women's lacrosse team travels to the East coast for a battle against the Georgetown Hoyas on Friday.
In their last matchup the Pioneers defeated the Hoyas 15-2 at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium.Â
SCOUTING THE HOYAS: Georgetown is 3-8 on the season and 1-0 in Big East play, snapping an eight game losing streak with a victory over Villanova. Sophomore attacker Gracie Driggs leads the Hoyas offensively with 23 goals and 24 points on the season with junior Emma Gebhardt right behind her with 18 goals and 22 points. Midfielder Tatum Geist and Attacker Kylie Hazen were Preseason All-Big East selections. Between the pipes, junior Leah Warehime owns a .370 save percentage and 12.67 goals against average.
THE LAST TIME OUT:Â The Pioneers won their Big East Conference Opener, 18-9 over the UConn Huskies.
