DENVER - The No. 10 Denver Pioneers women's lacrosse team travels to Evanston, Ill. for a battle with the reigning national champions No. 1 Northwestern on Friday afternoon at 5 p.m. MT.
The Pioneers have an 0-6 record against the Wildcats, in their last meeting Northwestern defeated Denver in the 2023 NCAA Women's Lacrosse National Semifinal on its way to an eventual national championship.
THE LAST TIME OUT: The Pioneers fell to the Maryland Teraapins, 8-10, on Saturday morning.

SCOUTING THE WILDCATS: Northwestern is 5-1 on the season with its only loss coming from [8] Notre Dame. The Wildcats return the 2023 Tewaaraton Award winner Izzy Scane, First Team All-American Erin Coykendall and Second Team All-American Samantha White. Sophomore Madison Taylor leads the Wildcats in scoring with 23 goals followed by Scane with 22, while Coykendall leads the team in points (13g/20a). Molly Laliberty has made four starts in goal for Northwestern and has 12 goals against average and a .400 save percentage.Â
