DENVER – The No. 48-ranked University of Denver women's tennis team (12-6, 4-0 Summit) will take to the road for the penultimate week of the regular season with two matches in two days.
Denver first travels to Tulsa on Friday, April 5, at 2 p.m. CT/1p.m. MT before visiting Kansas City for a Summit League match on Saturday, April 6, at 1 p.m. CT/12 p.m. MT.
Last Time Out:
Denver returned to play after a bye week with a 7-0 sweep against a shorthanded North Dakota squad at home on March 30. DU clinched the doubles point with a 6-1 win in the No. 1 match from sophomores
Louise Wikander and
Caroline Driscoll before the dual added wins in singles, along with fellow sophomore
Alice Otis and graduate student
Britt Pursell. Denver claimed the final two points with walkovers at Nos. 5 and 5 singles.
Series History:
Tulsa: DU leads the head-to-head against Tulsa, 3-1, including a 4-2 road win last season on April 7. The last three meetings have all been at Tulsa with DU winning two of the three.
Wichita State: DU is 4-0 against Kansas City including a 7-0 sweep in their regular-season meetings last season in Denver on April 1. The teams last played in Kansas City on April 9, 2022, in another 7-0 win for Denver.
