Denver Women’s Tennis Prepped for Home-Opening Weekend

DU begins six-match home stand against BYU, Colorado State on February 15-16

DENVER – The University of Denver women's tennis team will finally host its first home matches of the 2025 season when it kicks off a six-match home stand at Denver Tennis Park on February 15-16.
 
After starting the 2025 dual season with seven consecutive road matches, DU will host BYU in its home opener on Saturday, February 15, at 1:30 p.m. MT, followed by welcoming Colorado State on Sunday, February 16, at 10 a.m. MT.
 
Admission is free for fans all season long at Denver Tennis Park.
 
LAST TIME OUT:
Denver finished its season-opening road trip in San Diego on February 8-9 with two matches. DU first played at the University of San Diego on February 8, falling 1-6, before taking on San Diego State on February 9 in a contentious 2-4 loss.
 
Junior Marley Lambert and freshman Natálie Cinková notched singles wins on the weekend while the Pioneers claimed the doubles point with wins at Nos. 1 and 2 against SDSU.
 
Series History:
BYU: Denver holds a slight edge in its head-to-head record against BYU, 9-8. The teams have not played since a 6-1 DU win at home on February 20, 2021, which ended a streak of 16 straight seasons featuring a match between the two teams. BYU has played at Denver Tennis Park twice, both going in Denver's favor.
 
Colorado State: DU is 14-4 against Colorado State including eight consecutive wins. The last four meetings have all been held in Denver including three straight sweeps for the Pioneers. The most recent meeting was a 4-0 DU win on January 21, 2024.

The University of Denver women's tennis team continues its six-match home stand when it hosts Montana State on Friday, February 21, before beginning Summit League play during the first weekend in March.
