DENVER – The University of Denver women's tennis team will conclude its seven-match road trip to begin the 2025 dual season with two matches in San Diego, California, on February 8-9.
Denver will play at San Diego on Saturday, February 8, before visiting San Diego State on Sunday, February 9. Both matches are slated to start at 10 a.m. PT/11 a.m. MT.
LAST TIME OUT:
Denver took on its third and fourth Power-4 opponents to open 2025 during its second trip in as many weeks to the state of Texas on February 1-2. DU first battled hard in a tight neutral-site match against Nebraska that came down to the final singles match and saw the Cornhuskers win, 4-3. The following day, DU came up against its first nationally-ranked team of the season, falling at No. 25-ranked Baylor, 0-4.
Series History:
San Diego: Denver and San Diego have only played twice previously with each team capturing one win. The teams have not met since March 19, 2011, also in San Diego in a 7-0 win for the Toreros. Their only other meeting came on March 20, 2010, in a neutral-site match held in Boise, Idaho, which DU won, 4-3.
San Diego State: This will be only the second time that DU and SDSU will meet. Their only other previously meeting went 5-2 to the Aztecs at home on March 17, 2011.
