DENVER – University of Denver men's tennis players
Connor Robb-Wilcox and
Rikuto Yamaguchi were together named the Kwik Star Summit League Doubles Peak Team of the Week, the Summit League announced on Tuesday.
The Denver graduate student and senior teamed up in doubles for the sixth time in 2025 and clinched the doubles point in DU's 6-1 win against Idaho State on March 14. Together, they posted a 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles, converting only the second break chance for either team to win it in the 10
th and final game.
It was Robb-Wilcox/Yamaguchi's third win as Denver's No. 1 doubles team and their first together in nearly a month.
Denver men's players have combined for five Summit League weekly honors so far in 2025 with Robb-Wilcox/Yamaguchi winning the third doubles team nod of the year, joining two-time honorees senior
Daniel Sancho Arbizu and freshman
Theo Coats. Sancho Arbizu also owns two Kwik Start Summit League Peak Performer of the Week awards in 2025, and junior
Raffaello Papajcik earned the singles weekly award on March 4.
This is the first weekly Summit League award for both Robb-Wilcox and Yamaguchi.
Denver is again on a bye week but will return to the court to start Summit League play at Illinois State on Friday, March 28.
