DENVER – The University of Denver gymnastics team holds the No. 18 spot in the final regular-season Road to Nationals rankings, which were released on Monday.
This is the final week that national rankings are determined by National Qualifying Score (NQS), which is calculated using the six highest scores of the season, at least three of which must be from away meets. The highest of the six scores is dropped, and the remaining five scores are averaged.
With NQSs now finalized, all team event and individual rankings are now final for the season. Only overall team rankings will change and will be based on performance in the NCAA tournament.
DENVER'S NQS
197.525 – Away
197.125 – Home
196.750 – Away
196.700 – Home
196.625 – Home
196.475 – Away
NQS: 196.735
Denver has held the No. 18 spot in each of the last four weeks and finished with a final NQS of 196.735 following its 196.400 at the 2025 Big 12 Gymnastics Championship on March 22.
Denver's final overall NQS of 196.735 is the 10
th highest in program history. For the first time since 2022, DU's highest score of the season – and thus its dropped score for NQS – came at an away meet. It will be the fourth time in the last decade that the DU's season high was set on the road, also joining 2017 and 2019 – seasons in which Denver advanced to the NCAA National Championships.
TEAM NATIONAL RANKINGS
Overall: No. 18 (196.735)
Vault: No. 13 (49.245)
Bars: tie-No. 10 (49.390)

Denver saw the greatest improvement on vault, increasing its NQS by a half tenth to move up to No. 13. The team's final NQS of 49.245 on the event is now the eighth highest in program history.
For the third year in a row, Denver has finished ranked in the top 10 nationally on bars, doing so with the sixth highest NQS in program history. On beam, DU overcame a rough start to the year to end with the program's 10
th highest NQS on the event and to finish in the top 25 nationally.
DU missed a final national ranking on floor by just .010 and is tied for the highest NQS for a team not in the top 25 (49.225).
No Denver gymnasts ended the year in the top 25 on an individual event, though graduate student
Rylie Mundell finished outside the bars rankings by the smallest possible margin of .005 with a final NQS of 9.900.
No. 18 Denver has secured a spot at NCAA Regionals and will await official selections and placement in the bracket, which will be announced during the NCAA Selection Show on Monday, March 24, during a live telecast on ESPNU for the first time ever.
