DENVER – The University of Denver women's tennis team will host its final regular-season home match of the 2025 season when it welcomes St. Thomas on Saturday, March 8, at 10 a.m. MT.
The match will be Denver's third in Summit League play before spending the next three weeks traveling to non-conference opponents.
DU will also celebrate senior
Andrea Burguete Beltran for Senior Day.
Admission is free for fans all season long at Denver Tennis Park.
LAST TIME OUT:
Denver began its 2025 Summit League slate with two wins over Kansas City and Omaha at home. The Pioneers landed a 7-0 sweep of UMKC on March 1 to start the weekend – marking the team's fourth sweep of 2025 thus far – before adding a 6-1 victory over Omaha on March 2.
After clinching the doubles point in both matches with matching 6-3 wins, Burguete Beltran and junior
Marley Lambert were named the Summit League Doubles Peak Team of the Week for the second time in the last three weeks and the third time overall this year.
SERIES HISTORY:
St. Thomas: Denver holds a 3-0 record against St. Thomas with all three matches ending in 7-0 sweeps for the Pioneers. This will be the third time that the teams have played in Denver, though their most recent meeting was in St. Paul, Minnesota, on March 2, 2024.
UP NEXT:
The University of Denver women's tennis team begins its seven-match road trip to end the regular season with a trip to UTSA on Sunday, March 15.
2025 SUMMIT LEAGUE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS:
The University of Denver will host the 2025 Summit League Tennis Championships on April 18-19 at Denver Tennis Park. Additional information regarding the tournament will be released in the coming weeks.
