DENVER – The University of Denver women's tennis team continues its six-match road trip with a visit to Oral Roberts on Friday, April 4, at 7 p.m. CT/6 p.m. MT. The match start time was adjusted on Friday morning due to anticipated weather conditions in Tulsa, Okla.
 
Friday is Denver's only match of the weekend in what is the penultimate week of the 2025 regular season. It also marks DU's return to Summit League play after taking on non-conference opponents on the road in each of its last three matches.
 
LAST TIME OUT:
Denver split results in its trip to two Ivy League schools last week. Denver started the week with a tight 2-4 loss at then-No. 71 Columbia on March 26 before responding with a 4-3 victory at Dartmouth on March 28. In the match at Dartmouth, DU came back from a 0-1 overall deficit after a rare loss in doubles. The Pioneers reset in singles to win four of the six matches and saw senior Andrea Burguete Beltran clinch it in a three-set battle at the No. 1 slot.
 
SERIES HISTORY:
Oral Roberts: Denver is 12-0 against Oral Roberts and has swept the Golden Eagles in 11 of those matches. The teams met twice in 2024, first in Denver during the regular season on April 13 in a 7-0 win for DU before the Pioneers added a 4-0 win in the Summit League semifinals less than a week later on April 19 in a neutral-site match held in Des Moines, Iowa. DU's last trip to ORU was April 8, 2023, in another 7-0 sweep during the regular season.
 
UP NEXT:
The University of Denver women's tennis team finishes the regular season with two more road matches at Summit League opponents, first playing at South Dakota on Friday, April 11, before traveling to North Dakota on Saturday, April 12.
 
2025 SUMMIT LEAGUE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS:
The University of Denver will host the 2025 Summit League Tennis Championships on April 18-19 at Denver Tennis Park. Additional information regarding the tournament will be released in the coming weeks.
