DENVER – The University of Denver women's tennis team was recognized as an ITA All-Academic Team while adding four ITA Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2024-25 season, the ITA announced on Monday.
DU finished the 2024-25 academic team with a team GPA of 3.62, giving the program its third consecutive ITA All-Academic Team award and its 14
th overall.
Additionally, four Pioneers were recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes:
Junior
Hana Bečirovič Novak (psychology major)
Senior
Andrea Burguete Beltran (marketing major)
Freshman
Natálie Cinková (management major)
Junior
Louise Wikander (psychology major)
ITA All-Academic Team honors are given to teams with at least a 3.20 team GPA while ITA Scholar-Athlete honors require an individual GPA of at least 3.50 for the academic year.
Burguete Beltran finished her career with ITA Scholar-Athlete honors in all four years of her collegiate career. Wikander picked up the third award of her career while Bečirovič Novak earned her second. Cinková is a first-time honoree.
The University of Denver women's tennis team is coming off winning its 11
th consecutive Summit League title in 2024-25. The Pioneers advanced to the NCAA tournament for the 14
th time in program history.
