DENVER – The University of Denver women's triathlon program will officially begin this weekend when the Pioneers compete in their first ever races when the team travels to Clermont, Fla., this weekend. The opening race of the Clermont Challenge will take place on Saturday at 1:15 p.m. MT before the program laces it up again the next morning in race two at 7:50 a.m. MT.
Race Information
Schools Competing: The Clermont Challenge will feature programs from all NCAA Divisions. Denver will be joined by Black Hills State, David & Elkins, ETSU, King University, Lenoir-Rhyne, Millikin, North Central College, Queens University, Transylvania, San Francisco and South Dakota.
Race Format: The distances for the Clermont Challenge are a 750 meter swim, a 20K bike ride and a 5K run.
