DENVER – The University of Denver women's tennis team will look to add to its trophy cabinet with trophy 16 out of a possible 16 in the Summit League this weekend when the Pioneers begin the 2022 Summit League Tournament with the hosts Omaha in the second semifinal on Friday at 11 a.m. MT.
A pair of wins this weekend would give Denver its 10
th conference tournament title.

Denver won its 47
th-consecutive Summit League regular season match since joining the league in 2013-14 after a 6-1 victory over Oral Roberts in Tulsa last Saturday. The victory gave Denver its ninth-consecutive league regular season title (2013 in WAC, 2014-22 in Summit League).

Series History vs. The Field:
Denver vs. Omaha
Denver is 9-0 all-time against Omaha, including 2-0 in Nebraska. The two programs will meet in the Summit League Tournament for the first time on Friday, with the Pioneers taking the previous meeting 5-0 in the 2019 Summit League Final in Tulsa. The Pioneers has not surrendered a point in its previous nine meetings with the Mavericks.
Denver vs. Oral Roberts
The Pioneers are 9-0 all-time against Oral Roberts, including 1-0 on a neutral court. Last weekend, the Golden Eagles took the first point off the Pioneers in the nine-meeting series history, but the Pioneers still won 6-1 to earn the regular season crown. Denver and Oral Roberts played the only league game in the shortened 2020 season due to the pandemic, a 7-0 victory for the Pioneers at the DTP. A potential meeting in the Summit League Final would be the second postseason meeting between the two programs, with the Pioneers defeating the Golden Eagles 4-0 in Omaha in the Summit League Semifinal in 2016.
Denver vs. South Dakota
Denver is 14-0 all-time against South Dakota, including 6-0 in neutral site matches. The Coyotes have taken five of the possible 80 points off Denver in the previous 14 meetings, including their second two-point outing earlier this season in a neutral site match this fall. The Pioneers and Coyotes have met six times in the Summit League Tournament:
