DENVER – The University of Denver women's tennis team (9-2) sits at No. 43 in the latest ITA Computerized Rankings sponsored by Tennis-Point, released on Tuesday.
Denver won all four of its matches to start the month of March, dropping just a single point along the way. DU captured 7-0 sweeps in its first two Summit League matches of the year (Omaha, St. Thomas) and added a 5-0 win at Air Force on March 5. In the first of its four matches last week, Denver went 6-1 against Wyoming.
Fifth-year student
Taylor Melville jumped 21 spots to No. 65 in the singles rankings. Since the last singles rankings were released on February 21, Melville has gone 4-0 in singles for Denver, all in the No. 1 position and all without dropping a set. The Duluth, Georgia, native is now 9-1 on the season in singles.
DU travels east for two matches in Massachusetts, starting with a trip to No. 67 Harvard on March 11 and then visiting Boston on March 12.
